Tabs don't scale
The obvious approach is one browser tab per streamer. It falls apart fast: you can only look at one tab at a time, background tabs get throttled by the browser, and you have no idea which channel just had something happen without clicking through all of them.
What you actually want is one view, several channels, and a signal telling you where to look.

Independent polling
Every tracked channel refreshes on its own schedule. Background channels keep collecting clips even while you're looking at a different one.
Unseen counters
Each inactive tab shows how many new clips arrived since you last looked at it. You know instantly where the action is.
Nothing is lost on switch
Switching channels doesn't reload anything. The feed you left is exactly as you left it, plus whatever arrived meanwhile.
Why six is the sweet spot
There are two ceilings. The technical one is API rate limits — every tracked channel is a separate recurring request, and past a certain point you're burning quota faster than it refills.
The human one arrives sooner. Fresh clips are only valuable if you act on them within minutes. Tracking twelve channels means you're notified about far more clips than you can realistically watch, judge, and convert — so the extra channels add noise, not advantage. Three to six channels is where the speed advantage is still real.
Share the exact dashboard
If the tracker keeps its channel list in the URL, your setup becomes shareable by definition. Send the link to an editor and they open the identical dashboard — same channels, same order, no setup instructions needed.
For a team covering a roster, that's the difference between "here are the six channels, go configure it" and "here's the link."

How many streamers can I track at once?
Up to six simultaneously. That's a deliberate cap — beyond it you exceed both API rate limits and the number of clips you can realistically act on.
Do background channels keep updating?
Yes. Every tracked channel polls independently, and inactive tabs show a badge counting clips that arrived while you were elsewhere.
Can I share my setup with someone else?
Yes — the channel list lives in the URL, so sending the link recreates your exact dashboard for them.
Does tracking more channels slow it down?
Each channel adds a recurring API request. Six is comfortable; far more than that risks hitting rate limits and degrading refresh speed for all of them.
