Your phone streams to an OBS that runs in the cloud, not on your computer.
Our plugin runs inside that cloud OBS. It sends a copy of your voice to StreamTranslate, and your captions come back through a browser source. Nothing extra runs on your phone.

Grab your plugin key
Open your control page, go to Cloud OBS / IRL Mode, and generate a key.
Add the filter
In your cloud OBS, right-click your stream audio, then Filters → + → StreamTranslate, and paste your key. The status line shows when it's connected.
Add the captions
Sources → + → Browser, then paste your overlay URL from the control page.
Go live
Captions start as soon as the filter hears you. To change languages mid-stream, open your control page on your phone. The change applies live.
Home OBS + phone (ingest)
You're out streaming from your phone, but OBS stays running on your PC at home.
Your phone sends its camera and mic to that home OBS as an ingest (straight from Moblin or IRL Pro, or through a relay like IRLServer). Your home OBS is what goes live on Twitch.
Our plugin sits on the phone feed inside your home OBS, so it captions your voice from the phone, even though you're not at the computer.
Grab your plugin key
Open your control page, go to Cloud OBS / IRL Mode, and generate a key.
Put the filter on your phone's feed
Find the source your phone comes in on (usually a Media Source, like "Moblin SRT"). Right-click it, then Filters → + → StreamTranslate, and paste your key. Put it on the phone feed, not your desk mic.
Add the captions
Sources → + → Browser, then paste your overlay URL and set it to 1920×1080.
Go live and head out
Leave OBS running at home. Captions follow your phone's audio wherever you are. To switch languages, open your control page on your phone.
Streaming from a PC
Not IRL? Gaming, just chatting, or anything else streamed from your computer.
You don't need the plugin. Keep our control page open in your browser: it listens to your mic and sends captions to an overlay you add to OBS as a browser source.
Open your control page
Go to streamtranslate.live/control, pick your mic, and choose what you speak and what to translate into.
Add the captions to OBS
Copy your overlay URL from the control page. In OBS: Sources → + → Browser, paste it, and set it to 1920×1080.
Go live
Hit Go Live on the control page and keep that tab open while you stream.
Moblin, phone only
No OBS, no laptop, no cloud server.
Everything happens inside Moblin.
IRL Pro
The same phone-only setup as Moblin, on Android.
Larix Broadcaster and PRISM Live Studio
Both apps can send your stream to a custom destination.
That's all we need.
Bonded streaming (SRT / SRTLA)
Bonding sends your stream over several connections at once, like 5G, a second SIM, and wifi.
If one drops, the others keep you live.
FAQ
Does this change my video or my stream?
No. The plugin passes your audio through untouched and sends a copy to us. Your video never touches StreamTranslate.
Does it drain my battery or data?
On a cloud OBS setup, nothing extra runs on your phone. The plugin lives on the server that already handles your stream.
How much delay is there?
Captions usually land a second or two after each sentence.
Can I switch languages mid-stream?
Yes. Open your control page on your phone and change it. It applies live, no restart.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Every account starts with free hours.
