How it works

Open the control panel
Go to /control, sign in or start a free trial.

Switch to Tab Audio mode
Click the "Watch Party" toggle, then click GO LIVE.

Pick the browser tab to translate
Chrome's tab picker pops up — choose Netflix, YouTube, your sports stream, whatever has audio. Make sure "Share tab audio" is checked.

Translation runs live
Captions appear on screen in your chosen language with under 2 seconds of latency.

Do I need a Chrome extension or download?
No — Watch Party runs entirely in your browser. No extensions, no installs, no plugins.
What plan do I need?
Watch Party is included on the Unlimited plan — $199.99/month, or $159.99/month billed annually. The same plan also gives you unlimited streaming hours and dual-language subtitles.
What's the latency?
Under 2 seconds from audio to translated caption — same pipeline as our live stream translation.
Which languages does it support?
All 30+ source and target languages we support for live streaming, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Hindi, Turkish, and more.
Does it work with Netflix / Disney+ / streaming services?
Yes — anything that plays audio in a tab. We capture the tab audio (not the video), so DRM doesn't block it.
Can I record or save the translated captions?
Watch Party currently runs live only — captions appear on screen in real time. Recording is on the roadmap.
Does my mic still work in Watch Party mode?
Watch Party uses tab audio instead of your microphone. To switch back to your voice, toggle to "My Voice" mode on /control.
