Which language should you add to your stream?

Most streamers think the answer is Spanish — and for English-speaking streamers it usually is, because Spanish is the second-most-spoken language on Twitch globally. But the right answer depends on what game you stream, what time you stream, and where your existing audience is from.

For FPS and competitive games (Valorant, CS2, Apex), Spanish, Portuguese (Brazilian), and Korean dominate non-English viewership. For MMORPGs (FFXIV, WoW, Throne & Liberty), Japanese, Korean, and German viewers cluster heavily. For variety / Just Chatting streams, French and German bring the highest paid-conversion rates because of established subscription habits in those regions.

If you stream during US prime time (7-11 PM Eastern), your highest-impact translation is Spanish or Portuguese — Latin America is awake and underserved. If you stream early morning Eastern, German, French, and Polish viewers are mid-afternoon and actively browsing.
