How ManyCam + StreamTranslate works together

ManyCam is widely used as a virtual webcam for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, plus as a live streaming source for Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook Live. The Web Source URL feature lets you drop any browser-renderable layer on top of your camera feed.

StreamTranslate fits perfectly: paste your overlay URL into ManyCam's Web Source, and translated subtitles appear over your camera feed in real time. Use it for multilingual webinars, video calls with international colleagues, or live streaming to global audiences.

ManyCam's Web Source doesn't currently support interactive elements, but StreamTranslate doesn't need any — it's a one-way overlay. Custom CSS is supported if you want to tweak the appearance.

Setup steps

In ManyCam, click Sources → + → Web Source URL. Paste your StreamTranslate overlay URL. Resize the layer to fit your scene. Position at the bottom. Done — subtitles now appear on every ManyCam output.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work for ManyCam's virtual camera output (for Zoom, Teams)?
Yes — the subtitle layer is composited into ManyCam's output before it's sent to the virtual camera driver, so Zoom/Teams sees the final video with subtitles already baked in.
Can I use this for translated subtitles in webinar calls?
Absolutely — many of our customers use StreamTranslate this way for international webinars and global team meetings. It's a clean alternative to Zoom's built-in caption feature.
Does ManyCam's free tier support Web Source URL?
ManyCam's free tier shows a watermark but does include Web Source URL. Paid tiers remove the watermark.
