Broadcasting captions, translating something you watch, captioning a phone conversation and displaying text at an event are different tasks. Pick the guide that matches your audience and device.

Quick answers

Do all these tasks use the same caption output?

No. A browser overlay is part of the video image, a Twitch extension is a separate viewer interface, and native CC requires a compatible caption feed. Personal device captions may stay on that device.

Does a guide mean StreamTranslate supplies every feature it describes?

Each guide identifies the relevant StreamTranslate workflow and its limits. Device features, human captioning, translated audio and meeting-platform functions may require other tools.

Where should I begin with StreamTranslate?

Start with the guide for your audio source and audience, then follow its setup links. Check your actual viewer output before relying on captions during a live session.
